A little about me
Dr. Amanda Walker, Bsc, MSc, DClinPsy
I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist, who is experienced in working with adults and young adults. I provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, ocd, trauma and interpersonal/ emotional difficulties. I specialise in Trauma (PTSD) and working with adults with emotional/interpersonal problems linked to childhood.
I utilise several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). I do however believe and have a passion in ensuring any intervention is tailored to the individual and their own needs; making my approach 100 per cent person centred.
I have also gained a postgraduate diploma in the delivery of supervision and am able to provide supervision to professionals as required.
I have worked within a number of NHS settings and private settings over the past 18 years. Below you can find details of my qualifications. I ensure that I regularly attending training events associated with the core therapeutic approaches that I practice within.

Dr. Alex Stanbury, BSc, MSc, DClinPsy
Alex is a registered Clinical and Chartered Psychologist. Alex has worked in the NHS and private sector since 2008; within the remit of mental health. Alex currently works with individuals over 16 years of age, offering assessments and intervention for a wide range of presenting challenges. Within her work, Alex places an emphasis on the body-mind connection as a way to restore balance.
Alex’s special interest lies in childhood trauma; understanding and working through the early life experiences that shape who we are today. She specialises in working with people who experience trauma and PTSD In addition, she has expertise in working with chronic pain, fatigue and other common long-term health conditions.
Alex’s main aim is to ensure that every person’s journey to therapy is heard and understood, so it may confidently guide their treatment. The approaches Alex uses for therapy are selected accordingly and regularly reviewed with the client for appropriateness. First and foremost Alex prioritises building a sense of safeness in the therapy space to ensure the client feels comfortable and secure. Alex draws on a number of therapeutic approaches including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
